I am not sure how to categorize my past weekend. It was one of those weekends that almost got ruined by the rain, but turned out to be an okay weekend. I had plans to mow the lawn, go kayaking, and clean the house, but instead I ended up laying in bed, watching movies and being lazy! I enjoy the sound of rain, thousands of rain drops hitting the roof.......Oh well, anyways, rain makes me sleepy and lazy, it helps that I find that rain is the perfect movie weather and I wasn't about to lose a perfect opportunity to be lazy in bed. I guess I could have read a good book, or done something productive around the house but the weather had already ruined some of my plans so I just decided to revolt against being productive. I have to say though, I am getting tired and rather vexed at the crazy weather here at Potsdam. Some days are perfect and sunny, but for the most part, it is still a bit too cold for the month of May! See, I am from Brazil and I know that's no excuse to complain about the weather, but even in Brooklyn the weather is a bit better. I guess that you have to accept the fact that when you live in Potsdam you need to adjust for Antarctica weather.

Enough about the weather and the crappy weekend! Today I have just realized how fast this year went by. It seemed just like yesterday that I went down to Utah to go hiking for the summer when in reality it's been a whole year! I have been looking at the pictures I took while hiking the mountains and hiking through the desert! That was an amazing experience. I have also been thinking about my Italy trip which also happened during that same summer! What an eventful summer that was! I spent thee weeks in Italy, worked a whole lot, and went to Utah to hike the grand canyons, Zion national park and others! I will truly remember that summer for ever!!!!

I didn't know what to expect from that summer and it turned out to be a great one! I can only hope that the same happens this year! I would like to do some more adventurous activities instead of just going to work and working some more after work.
